The Rainbow Room
Thanks to a very generous donation from our friends at Headingley Rotary, we have developed our very own sensory room called ‘The Rainbow Room’.
A sensory room is a specially designed space which combines a range of stimuli to help children develop and engage their senses.
These can include lights, colours, sounds and sensory toys.
A sensory room provides a safe and comfortable environment that allows the child using it to explore and interact.
A sensory room is a great therapy for children with communication difficulties.
It is also provides a very calming environment for children who may need a little time out from the busy classroom.
